Partner overview — development stage

The Comedy Con

Comedy is bigger than a stage.

What is being built

The Comedy Con is a gathering designed around the whole of comedy in one building — live performance, screen work, audio, writing and craft, history, fandom, and the business behind it. The project is in active development. Dates, city, venue, programming, and talent are not announced, and nothing on this page should be read as a confirmed commitment.

What the building holds

  • Live workSets, showcases, recordings, readings, and performances built for the room.
  • On screenScreenings, episodes, pilots, deep cuts, and the stories behind them.
  • On micLive audio, recordings, and conversations that usually happen away from the audience.
  • How it gets madeWriters, performers, directors, producers, crews, and the decisions behind the finished thing.
  • The long memoryArtifacts, archives, exhibits, and the lineage behind what people are doing now.
  • Try the workWorkshops, games, open formats, and ways to participate instead of only watching.

Why partner at this stage

  • Category positions are open while the format is still being designed, so a partner can shape what gets built rather than sponsor a finished object.
  • Involvement is developed as programming and audience experience, not signage placed around the edges.
  • Terms, scale, and pricing are set case by case against what a partner wants to achieve. Nothing is packaged or published.
