What isTheComedyCon
Every way into comedy.

“Comedy is bigger than a stage. We're building a gathering the size of the thing.”

Every way into comedy.

Comedy lives everywhere: in clubs and writers' rooms, on screens and in headphones, in old recordings, dog-eared books, group chats, and lines people repeat for decades.

We're building a gathering around the performance and the process, the finished work and the story behind it, the history people carry with them and the discoveries they make in the room.

  • Live work

Sets, showcases, recordings, readings, and performances built for the room.

  • On screen

Screenings, episodes, pilots, deep cuts, and the stories behind them.

  • On mic

Live audio, recordings, and conversations that usually happen away from the audience.

  • How it gets made

Writers, performers, directors, producers, crews, and the decisions behind the finished thing.

  • The long memory

Artifacts, archives, exhibits, and the lineage behind what people are doing now.

  • Try the work

Workshops, games, open formats, and ways to participate instead of only watching.

The working blueprint

One medium was never going to cover it.

Our working blueprint spans performances, recordings, screenings, conversations, exhibits, workshops, archives, and new work worth finding early.

  • The long memory
  • Try the work

See the work. Hear how it got made. Find the people who care about it as much as you do.

Explore the Format

For people who don't stop at the finished joke.

The people who follow the writer. Remember the episode. Replay the bit. Read the credits. Want to know what influenced what — and what might happen next.

Come for the form you know by heart. Find the part of comedy you didn't know you were missing.

The ambition

The reason to be in the room.

We're designing for ideas that cannot be reduced to a clip: unexpected combinations, conversations that go further, physical pieces of comedy history, and discoveries made before the recap exists.

Pick a door

A rough plan of the con as we keep arguing about it. No venue is confirmed and none of these rooms exist yet — but every door here goes somewhere real on this site.

Not to scale. Not to anything.

Your route through the map is recorded in a passport on this device only. Nothing is sent anywhere and you can wipe it from inside the passport at any time.

Status

Still taking shape. Deliberately.

We're developing the first edition before making promises about its details. Dates, location, tickets, and programming will be announced when they're real.

Latest confirmed milestone · Platform

The doors are open. The calendar isn’t.

First Access and the audience survey are live. Dates, location, lineup, programming, tickets, partners, and funding are not being announced.

First Access

Know when it gets real.

Dates, location, tickets, programming, and ways to take part — the official word, sent when it's confirmed, and nothing while there's nothing to say. Just your email.

Already in? The survey is the other half. It feeds programming, ticket ranges, travel and city thinking, and the experience itself — no single answer decides anything.
